as far as I know there will be an upgrade price to pay when upgrading to TM 2023.2 from any previous version.
i migrated TM from a French company Altair, if I recall well the name.
What would be the process of acquiring the upgrade?
Wold it be based on my Epic Games credentials, account?

This is not entirely possible. People who purchased a license this year are entitled to a free upgrade for a year. So what you write may apply to older licenses.
