Hello. I would like to ask you for help in choosing components for the computer. The current configuration has been with me since the end of 2016 and I decided to refresh it a bit for Unreal Engine 4 (maybe 5).
Current configuration:
Motherboard: ASRock X99 Taichi
Processor: Intel i7 6800K 3.40 GHz
Graphics: 2x EVGA GTX 1070 SLI
RAM: GEIL 4x 8GB 2666Mhz
PSU: be quiet! Dark Power 850W
Considering the current situation on the component market, I came up with the idea to replace only the processor + motherboard and the ram, and leave the graphics and power supply. I looked and found something like this:
Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Black 2x 16 GB 3200Mhz
I checked and the graphics card and the power supply fit. So the only thing left for me to do is to ask if this “upgrade” is appropriate and does it make sense? Or is it better to replace something else?
