Updating Unreal to 5.4 and Install Options

Hi everyone, first time writing in. I’m a newcomer to game development and am just doing it as a hobby. I do have a question though, since UE 5.4 just came out officially.

I have 5.3.2 already downloaded on my computer and am wondering if I need to redownload the started content, Templates and features, and engine source for 5.4 if I already have them downloaded for 5.3.2.

Hello,

You do not. The starter assets are the same. (For now.)

However, you may experience bugs if assets are no longer compatible with later versions of Unreal.
