General Sequencer question.
Why is it not possible to update existing keyframes, when piloting a camera that exists in Sequencer?
I always need to manually edit the keyframes directly. Seems to defeat the whole purpose of piloting a camera.

If you have autokey on, it should set keys based on the camera piloting. Otherwise, yes, you have to select the camera and add keyframes either through the buttons or shortcuts like s.
My timeline is centered on the keyframes and I’ve even drag selected the keyframes to make sure they are selected. Auto key is enabled.
But I cannot change their values thru piloting the camera.
I need to manually select them and change their values directly in Sequencer.
Doesn’t make sense to me. What am I missing?
Here’s a simple video showing the transform keys getting added when piloting the camera. Initially there is no keyframe at frame 61, then after piloting the camera forward, a keyframe gets added. Then, I scrub the playhead to show that the camera animation.
Check a few things: autokey enabled, there’s at least 1 key on the transform track, the playhead is at the time that you want to add a keyframe.

Thanks for the reply. I think the issue is updating existing keyframes when piloting but will try again with your example.
Did you solve this? I can’t get mine to update even if clicking it says the position changes but then it doesn’t play back. Camera sits still.
I’ve seen that happen before. In my instance, it appeared to be moving but didn’t actually record since the camera was locked or the track wasn’t active in Sequencer. When flying, make sure you’re on the correct transform track and that the camera track is selected and not locked. I once found that turning autokey on and off again was helpful.
