As I’ve been working on my model and skeletal mesh, I make adjustments and reimport the FBX to update the bones. However, the control rig doesn’t update the bones with the skeletal mesh and I’m wondering if it would be possible to update the control rig. Otherwise, I have to make a new control rig every time I reimport the skeletal mesh to update the bones.
Ok, I think I’ve found a solution. You can refresh skeleton by right clicking root bone → Refresh and selecting your skeleton.
After that I had to remove old bones in Control Rig hierarchy that should be gone with new skeleton. I also noticed that those bones are still there in Skeletal Mesh, but are greyed out. I cannot remove them in Skeletal Mesh though.
I did find the answer elsewhere but forgot to update this thread and haven’t been especially active lately so I apologize for that and thank you for your answer. The solution I found is the same as yours so I marked your post as the solution.
