Updating blueprint in the sequencer

Hi guys,
I work a lot with the sequencer at work and we are using a blueprint for the lighting.
Everything from the sun angle to the brightness and the sun size. The problem is, it does not update in the render at all.

After some search I found this thread here:
https://forums.unrealengine.com/development-discussion/blueprint-visual-scripting/1491500-blueprint-construction-script-animation-doesn-t-work-when-i-play-game

I did everything OP does and checked all the options.

  • Expose to Cinematic :ballot_box_with_check:
  • Run Construction Script in Sequencer :ballot_box_with_check:
  • Rerun Construction Scripts :ballot_box_with_check:

They opened a bug report ( Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-66524) )but the Unreal Bug Team said, that’s a feature by design … so I want to ask you. Why?
…and is there a workaround?

PS: This is kind of a repost, but this is more of a sequencer problem so I hope that guys are looking here can answer this question.

I don’t have much blueprint experience with sequencer, but I noticed any sliders from blueprints are only seen when the scene is in play mode
or rendering
