We are currently working on some updates that will block you from being able to drag ambient sound actors directly into the scene. Ambient sound actors very quickly become limited ( you don’t have much control over it ), and this new workflow will setup users to be able to quickly experiment with other Audio Player device features down the line . Users will continue to have ability to use the Audio Player device to add audio. We are going through our templates and samples to make this update as well to help onboard new users.
Post open beta we will explore auto-wrapping attempts to drop an ambient sound actor into the scene by placing an Audio Player device with the asset selected. As part of this, we will look into other asset types where this behaviour would make sense ( to wrap in it’s related creative device ) .
