Does anyone have a link to updated (post 5.3) instructions for building UE from source for Apple targets? The official docs are (very stale).
The release branch (currently 5.3.2) works fine for me, but if I build 5.4 or latest the editor fatally crashes. Hopefully there’s just an additional step I’m unaware of or a common workaround that’s often needed on non-release branches.

Hey im currently also on mac trying to build from source w 5.4.3. i have tried a bunch of things after doing the two starting points (setup.command / generateprojectfile.command) but after that my project file (which im trying to switch engine versions to the source) won’t read the source engine.
i’ve tried to move some folders around and tried to change the engine version manually but my computer / uproject file doesn’t seem to recognize the source engine. i also attempted to move where i had the source build located a few times as well as moved the “install.ini” file that gets created to multiple different places and changes what it was targeting a few times. nothing is working currently
would love to hear if you have any updates on this post and advice perhaps haha thanks
