Unwrapping in RealityScan

Good afternoon.
I watched the YouTube video in the link above and have some questions.
I’m not very good at English, so I wanted to confirm if my understanding is correct. I’m using a translator.
The video is about the Large Triangle removal threshold option, and is it correct that increasing the value includes larger triangles in the Unwrap process?
Was it also saying that if the Large Triangle removal threshold value is too high, unnecessary parts are included in the Unwrap process, so it’s best to apply it appropriately?
Is there a difference between the Large Triangle removal threshold option in the Unwrap Tool menu and the Color and Texture Settings menu? Are they different from each other?

Hi @Nuriarchive
In the video is mentioned the workflow to get rid of large one pixel texture triangles. This could sometimes happen, when there are large triangles in your model and for the default settings this triangle is textured with a single color. In that case you need to change the Large triangle removal threshold to texture that triangle. The settings depends on your model and it is not the same for each one, so sometimes you will need to try different options to get such triangles textured.

The settings are the same and have the same purpose. To texture your model you need to unwrap first. Therefore there is this settings under Texture setting. But when you want to change the unwrap for your model and you’ll change the settings only in the Texture setting, the new unwrap isn’t applied. You’ll need to change the setting in the Unwrap settings, unwrap the model and then texture it.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, then I’m not writing the numbers in the Large Triangle removal threshold option.
Large Triangle removal threshold is not a value for the option, but
Is there a way to select and apply only the faces I want to text with Lasso Tool?
If you can specify the part you want, it would be good not to have to guess the Large Triangle removal threshold value.
What do you think?

I am not sure what do you mean…
Basically, you are not guessing the value. 100 is good enough for most of the cases.
There is no such option (to select only the part and texture it). But for such selection the same texturing workflow will be applied, so I suppose the Large triangle removal threshold will need to be changed.
