Unwanted gradient on UI

I’m trying to use this image as a mask however upon importing it a gradient is added around the edges that introduces unwanted artifacts when masking.

When used as a mask i get this which lets a color bleed though when lerping.

Here is my material just in case there’s a solution that involves it.

Update: I made some progress by setting the texture group to 2D(Unfilitered) however for some reason the fill is extending beyond the stroke. This is probably an Inkscape issue but my knowledge of the software is pretty basic so i don’t know how to go about fixing that.
