Hi All,
I am trying to align tens of thousands images to roughly 120 Faro laser scans. I normally have no trouble combining datasets via components but something seems to be off about my laser scans in this project as I get the error,
“Unsupported camera model. The combination of lens and calibration parameters is not supported for the selected final model.”
I culled people and noise from the scans in Faro Scene and the laser scans align fine by themselves. I saved them to their own component but they do not want to align to my other photo only components. Any troubleshooting advice is appreciated!
Hi mysterymoose2010,
is this also happening after application restart (open RC with pushed SHIFT and choose the option Make it like a clean install)?
The scans were cleared before you uploaded them into RC? The own alignment of scans was without issues? Can you check the lens and calibration parameters for your data?
Hi there, yes the scans were all cleaned in Faro Scene before being imported and converted to .lsp in Reality Capture. I aligned the scans without issue but there seems to be an issue with the component. When aligned in the lidar project, I check the laser scan camera poses for each scan and find that the Features listed in the Features column is the same as the number of tie points. I saved the lidar project. However, after I export the component and import it to a new project, I click on each of the camera poses and the number of features indicates 0. Next to each camera pose in the 1Ds view, each camera still indicates the number of tie points as being correct.
I reopened the original lidar scan project and find the features list also reads 0 for every camera.
The component is still 2GB in size so there is data in there but there seems to be a disconnect somewhere…
I cleared my cache but I cannot re-install software without a hassle as I’m on a managed network.
Can you try import images to laser scan project and then align the data?
