Nick will be showing a virtual synthesizer created entirely in Unreal Engine 4 thanks to the powerful new audio engine. He will talk about the creation process and do a live demonstration of how to play the synthesizer with a MIDI keyboard! The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Nick Pfisterer is a game designer and musician. As a game designer, Nick has been making games for 18 years, including 10 years with Unreal Engine. During that time he shipped several well-received game jam entries, and co-founded Blue Void Studios where he is currently working on Ionia, an atmospheric first-person puzzle platformer for PC. Nick also taught level design with Hammer and UDK at iD Tech Camps and iD Gaming Academy.

As a musician, Nick has been making music for 15 years. During that time he has shipped 4 video game soundtracks, signed 2 remixes, won 2 remix contests, and independently released several singles.

Nick is also the co-organizer of UnrealPDX and the founder of Unreal Slackers, a Discord server for Unreal developers with over 17,000 members.
