3DS Max, Rhino 3D, Solidworks/Inventor, SketchUp, CATIA/Siemens NX/Creo, and other formats, now available in their beta!
As a Solidworks designer, I have been wracking my brain for weeks trying to learn 3DS Max, but it’s been an uphill climb. This could not have come at a better time for me. At first, I was exporting from Solidworks to 3DS Max, but the polygon count was in the tens of thousands. Even after using the different optimization methods, my models were much too large and slow for use in Unreal Engine, and would not accept proper painting in the designer.
Now, as I understand it, Unreal Studio will allow full import of Solidworks models, complete with colours and textures!
