Hi, both Unreal 4.27 and 5 is super bad with maintaining their original settings.
I hate two features, that I turn off, but they keep resetting at random times.
1 Invert Middle Mouse Pan
2 Preview Shadow Indicators (I keep changing in two places)
Both of these settings keeps resetting. Can I somehow forcefully make engine to not reset anything ade especially these two?
Noticed this too (with other settings - default map, browser filters, camera settings, etc.) and has been driving me mad. Glad I’m not the only one.
Have you tried using the ‘set as default’ option? Seems to work for me on some options, but not others.

Where is this “Set as default” is located, is it an option for every single feature?
It’s up at the top of a section in the Editor Preferences page, usually under a section. I think it generally applies to the whole section of settings.
Actually getting this all the time and surprised no one else has mentioned it. Just now had all my PIE and Auto Reimport settings reset (and they were a pain in the butt to setup).
Anyone else experiencing this or is it some kind of configuration thing?
