Hi i got a problem with unreal
this is my current PC MSI rtx 3090 suprim X + Ryzen 9 5950x + 850w Corsair 850x new and recent + Aorus Ultra x570 v1.2
At some point of my workflow with unreal 5 usually when i demand some task “extra” or “resource demanding” like clicking right in a highpoly asset, or enabling nanite, or loading a level… the PC restart
I try to find the problem with OCCT, isolated tests cpu ram vram, combined , HwInfo, uningen heaven etc but i can not found the problem
i notice that OCCT when i put gpu only the TDP goes upto 430w but with the combined test it stock in 280w + 130w cpu
before that i try to under volt the gpu but the gpu crash (not the system)
any one can help me please ?
i dont know if the problem is GPU only or Windows…
thanks
Hey @emlab!
What are your temps looking like? I know my pc will restart if it starts to reach a certain temperature on anything. Use a temperature tracker and keep an eye on it when you do something like that!
Give that a shot and let us know!
gpu 60-80º but crash can occurred at 60º is not the temp factor
It sounds like your graphics card or RAM might be having an issue, then.
You should try out a different gfx card, and try reseating your RAM, or using different RAM altogether! I know that’s a hard ask as those things cost money, but an older card- even though it’s not OPTIMAL- as long as it can run UE5 at all and you can test it, that’s what matters.
@emlab Did you get it figured out?
