I was trying out the Virtual Camera plugin and according to this article, I should be using the Unreal Remote 2 app from appstore. But it doesn’t connect to my computer, presumably since it doesn’t ask for Wifi/Internet permission. The network is okay since my own app could connect to that very computer’s UE with my own plugin…
I have the same issue… Can’t use the remote app to connect. Anyone know if it’s an app issue or something is missing in this article?
happy anniversary… latest version still has the same issue…
@Epic the thing is all China mainland iPhones has WIFI permission in addition to the normal cellular network permission. Without that, you can’t even connect to a computer on the same LAN.
I’ve just tested with 2 China mainland iPhones and 1 Japnese iPhone, and it worked instantly on the Japnese one but kept “connecting” on the 2 cm ones…
Additionally, the Unreal Remote 1 app actually asks for such permission and works like a charm. But it lacks the ability to mirror viewport.
