Unreal Maketplace and Megascans.

When selling an asset on Unreal Maketplace, can I use a texture from Quixel Megascans as part of an asset’s material?

Like for example in an asset that a part is composed of grass, is it possible to use this texture in a big asset pack sold in Unreal Maketplace? or other stores with the correct license.

It wouldn’t be simply taking the texture and putting it in the asset pack, but a rework on top of it and in an asset of its own.

No, you can’t do that with any assets unless they specifically tell you that you can. Best way is just not to use anyone else’s work at all. If need be, supply “simple stylized textures which can easily be changed for others e.g. megascans”

I thought it would be like this… :confused:
I’ll make it from scratch, or use one from another service with the proper licenses.
