Unrealenginelauncher starts, and then opens crash reporter. I can only see this via task manager otherwise it’s the microsoft circle after double clicking and nothing else. Can’t find any logs.link text

What exactly are you doing when this occurs? Are you trying to launch a game? Which game were you trying to open? download and engine? Which engine are you currently using?

Also it maybe helpful to know a little bit more about you computer. RAM, GPU ect. It doesn’t seem to be a computer issue but who ever knows

This looks like an issue initialising the directx rendering. You can try opengl instead to see if it gets you unblocked, but if you could zip up your full logs folder and attach that it will contain crash dumps that will help us to identify the problem.

To try opengl, on your shortcut properties, add -opengl to the end of the Target box (with a space before the -)

The dxdiag file has my computer statistics.

I can’t even open the launcher, as the op states.

Two attempts at -opengl failed as well.

Maya’s ray renderer says my video card is insufficient in some respect; 3.1 to 4.0 shader issue? Is this another sub par video card issue?

Sorry for the delay, I’m afraid that sounds possible… The specs only seem to mention DX9 :slight_smile:

running with -d3ddebug (and nothing else) as the command in the Target box would likely prove it. Should put more stuff in the log files!

Apologies for not spotting the more obvious answer before, but your dxdiag shows that your gfx card only supports Direct X 9
