I am having similar problems. Unreal Engine is crashing frequently on startup. I am attempting to import an FBX file which is also crashing Unreal Engine. I am using Ryzen 3950x, 64 Gb RAM, RTX 3070, on Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS. Everything updated.

I installed everything via Lutris.

I fit helps I seem to be getting a C++ runtime error R6025

Hi,you need to read your UE5 Crash Files, when you created new DDC you also created new registry key.
To remove your error you need to open “regedit” and go to "currentuser/software/epicgames/ and find local or global data cache and delete that registry key dont touch the deafult registry key.
There is no point to reinstall UE5 when registry keys stays on your PC.
