unreal keep crashing my whole pc

Hello

i have a rtx 4070 and ryzen 7 and 64gb ram and still unreal engine 5.7 keep crashing my laptop it happens when i right click anything it freezes my laptop eventhoue i can run heavy games and other game engines smoothly and it dosnt happen for UE4

if any one know any fix for this please tell me

i have fixed it here are some steps that could help you (i have omen laptop)

if you have omen laptop open omen gaming hub and

Go to the Graphics Switcher section

Change the mode from Hybrid to Discrete

then change to DirectX 11 maybe can help

Right-click the UE5 Editor shortcut > Properties

At the end of the Target line, add a space and then -d3d11

Example: ...\UnrealEditor.exe" -d3d11

another fix in the registry Editor

  1. Press Windows + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.
  2. Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
  3. Right-click on the right side > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  4. Name it TdrDelay.
  5. Double-click it and set the Value data to 60 (make sure Decimal is selected).
  6. Right-click > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  7. Name it TdrDdiDelay.
  8. Double-click it and set the Value data to 60 (Decimal).

also make sure you not ONLY update game ready drive in GeForce experience but also the studio Driver

after all this restart your system and it should help
