unreal is extremely slow on iMac

iMac actually as the best value for hardware if you’re wanting to develop a game. Many 's don’t have a dedicated GPU while iMac does, and at a better cost.

One of the things to keep in mind when developing on Mac’s these days is that they usually run at a very high resolution, which coupled with the low-end graphics card means they aren’t going to run 3D intensive programs very well.

Let’s be clear that building a pc from parts is always the best value. In terms of mac, it still is best value. Hackintosh forever.
