Unreal importing faceted geometry (How to export a smooth rigged geometry out of maya?)

Hi guys, i’m trying to import a rigged model from maya to unreal but for some reason the face looks with hard edges even if i soft them in maya before exporting.

I would like to get Maya’s 3 key view for this model. I have smooth the geometry but while its importing unreal freeze then my pc so i have had to restart.

Is there a way to smooth all the geometry in maya without break the rigg and export to unreal? or at least a way to fix these edge problem?
