Your question is a little vague, but from what I’ve seen many artists use Unreal Engine backgrounds for matte and chroma key purposes. It should be fine.
As for backgrounds…I’d say the best solution is to build one yourself, but there are free assets on the marketplace that can help you. Check the marketplace.

Yes, environment backgrounds are needed to be used in conjunction with the actor in game shorts to simply change locations. Thanks for the answer!

It’s not hard to make a background with pre-made assets from the marketplace in Unreal Engine. I’d say give that a shot!
