If i started my project in the editor everything seems fine. But after i drag an object into my scene (a simple cube is enough) the engine goes crazy for a few minutes… i cant neither use the engine nor my OS or other apps. Sometimes i cant even move my mouse for a few seconds. (I also cleaned my Desktop because i hoped that will solve the problem…) Also is the RAM utilization at ~100%
I am not sure if this will solve your issue. I use an nvidia. I forced execution of unreal on nvidia instead of integrated Intel. There should be a way for you to do that. That should help some.
My Problem when the engine freezed was that windows behaviour analsysis proxy tried to use all the ressources…
My Solution was to set the Priority of AVKBap64.exe to the lowest possible.
No I mean that in the nvida tool tray I can select a program to open through the graphics chip instead of the Intel integrated chip. I am not sure on the AMD equivalent but I am sure it exists. I just did a search and what I’ve found is if you right click on the game/program you wish to change you should have a “run on graphics processor” or something like that and you should get a menu to change graphics processor from Intel to your AMD chip. That should save it and run unreal on your card instead of the integrated Intel. I have done this for all my game dev tools especially substance designer and painter. They all run much better this way.
If i understood properly is this an option for computer with an integrated graphic chip on the cpu and just change the preferred GPU to use, right ? but there is no intergrated graphics unit on my cpu… therefore that’s not even possible
dude, look at this chart : http://ark.intel./products/family/78580?wapkw=e3+1230+v2#@All
as you can see at the right column its empty.
and btw : how can it be possible that there is a gpu, but without any performance ?
