Unreal Engine Online Presence Is Disorganized - Versions Are All Over The Place

Let’s start with the obvious: maintenance on keeping version communication logical and in parity is pretty bad. At the risk of sounding like a jerk, it’s a bit embarrassing. Here is the main “Updates” page on the website:

https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/updates

As of writing this page is referencing version 5.3, and we’re happily tinkering with UE 5.6… The next link:

With the version selection on the sidebar set to 5.6, we see “Unreal Engine 5.5 Release Notes”.

Now there are a whole plethora of other such examples, but that small sampling gets my point across. Is there anyone that audits/reviews all this stuff and makes sure everything is logical and in version parity? Before anyone feels the need to brush this concept aside and try to convince me to not care, don’t bother. I do care, and it does matter. Some professionals, experts, and heck even intelligent hobbyists take this seriously and depend on predictable and accurate information.

As it stands, it seems as if communication and documentation is just chaotic; Sometimes you cats at Epic put care and time into getting everything in shape, other times the ball is dropped and no one bothers to double back and pick it up. I’m not expert on your internal workflows and technology stack(s), but I’d be hard pressed to believe the chore of getting all those sorts of informational/marketing pages tuned up and tidy wouldn’t take but a couple of days for an entry-level team member.

My goal here is just to paint an arrow at this subject, and raise awareness. Maybe you just need a nudge to bring it to your attention and realize it matters and people care. Keep up the awesome work - just please maybe put some more time to being organized, accurate, and up-to-date with your front-facing matter.

I’m not trying to be rude and whiny. I’m merely being blunt and to-the-point, professional if I may be so bold.
