Wow guys, just WOW . . . . . I’m a freelance cgi pro & can’t wait to get up to speed ! Maybe the future just became Unreal.

is Epic I remember from UDK! And I don’t really care that 20$. Working with community. For community. My good, good God. Epic is Epic again.

Thank you guys.
Respect.

And Unity has a BIG announcement coming tomorrow…LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

I am in 4.6.1 (have 7.0 preview) i remove the preview and try install 4.7.1 but give always a error in 0%/1%:

Install Failed
Could not download patch data. Please try again later.

perhaps sever its crying for too much download? lol

I think that’s it knack, is probably attempting to download it at the same time. I got around 250kb/s at the end when I downloaded 4.7.

I don’t think they will announce something even close to Epic’s one. They couldn’t even answer Epic’s sub plan model good enough and went on milking money from the rest of their indie community.
Seriously, the only reason I see to stay with them is that I have 12-month subscription and I don’t want to waste $80/mo.

A great news , but i’m concerned : by breaking down the last barrier will the flood come on our forum and ?

I have no words.

You have outdone yourselves again, Epic. Very proud to use Unreal Engine.

Too many people download it at the moment that’s why the server could be slower. Happens to me as well. Stay in there and try again later I’d suggest.

It was enough to keep little kids out and that’s exactly my point, why make it free. ā€˜If you can’t afford that, you’ve got other issues to deal with before making a game’

I’ve always had an with keeping competition at bay with financial barriers. If an 8 year old can kick my *** at coding a game, well, I deserve to get my *** kicked. And if that 8 year old prodigy was never able to shine because his parents wouldn’t give him the $19 a month to have access to the engine, I think that’s incredibly sad.

I can’t even start downloading…
But seriously Epic Games. I am insane with the idea of making my own game for 2 years already…(Already got the basics of the storyline and the world)
I had two problems: No Money and No Engine…
Well, two rabbits with one shot.
Love you Epic Games.

Oooooooh! LOVELY! We really need a ā€œMake Something Unrealā€ again! SOON!

Just because you have an with children (or others who for whatever reason can’t or won’t pay an otherwise reasonable fee) shouldn’t deprive them of opportunities to learn new skills. EPIC is giving a to have a go and that’s a good thing. Will it bring a load of kids and douchebags into the community? No doubt but those are minor negative consequences compared to many positives of making game development accessible for .

Nice try, but I think you could do better, Epic. How about tickets to ?

$19 was ultra-cool in my book, I don’t have words to describe the awesomeness of free!!!

And thanks for my $30 ticket also, there’s a hole burning in my pocket!!

.

PS Lmao Unity, couldn’t resist!!!

I second that motion

Just joined the bandwagon.
