No idea why this is happening. It seems like Unreal is adding additional keyframes to random bones or changing the rotation of some keys at certain points in the animation. I’ve tried a lot of things, like baking the animation in Blender, tweaking the import settings, and adjusting the export settings, but I still haven’t found a solution. Every animation has at least some issue. On some, the problems are subtle, but on others, they are very noticeable. I’ve been banging my head against this for two days now. I’ve searched online, but I haven’t found anyone with a similar issue.
Yeah, this looks like a usual Unreal and Blender shenanigan. These two don’t have the best relationship, specially for animations.
The regular approach that’s followed around the community, would be to reset export/import settings in both UE and Blender, in order to rule out any conflicts between either configuration. And making sure that any and all transforms and changes are applied in Blender. After that, test importing your mesh again, and see if the pose remained consistent.
If the issue persists, please test the method detailed here, I have found it useful for similar scenarios.
