Unreal Engine logo usage in our demo, set to release on Steam in 2025

Hi there,

We are a small studio trying to do a playtest for our metroidvania indie game, which is developed using Unreal Engine 5 (we love it btw!), and we are aiming for Steam Fest Demo release in Feb, 2025.

Would greatly appreciate some help with the following:

We’ve read through a bunch of documents on your website trying to understand what is the procedure to “clear” usage and actually use UE logo in our demo. I will do a short recap to see whether we understand it correctly:

  1. We are developing a video game (it will be for profit, when released), using UE, so that constitutes as a Product according to your user agreements, which means we are mandatory to place your UE logo in our game.
  2. The said logo must use the branding license shown here - https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/branding Is there any additional info, as how long do the logo need to be on screen during the splashscreens before the menu? Do we need additional text added besides the logo?
  3. We have to then download, sign and send you back the Trademark License Agreement Form
  4. Then we need to fill in this release form - Release Form - Formstack and I imagine we need to place a screenshot from the intro of our game with your branding?
  5. After receiving approvals on all aforementioned - then and only THEN we can do a playtest with wide audience on our game on Steam?

Is this everything required? Are we missing anything? And could we get a better understanding on all question marks

Cheers,
Todor.
