Could you probably more specific. Do you mean when you press “launch” in the launcher?
When I try to start UE4 it does nothing at all! Is anybody else having this problem?
Sorry, When i try to double click UE4Editor it just loads for 5-10 seconds then nothing happens…
Did you download the installer file from UnrealEngine, or did you download the Source Code from GitHub?
Is your “UE4Editor” a shortcut, or an .exe file? If it is a shortcut, open its properties and let me know if it is actually for the “UnrealEngineLauncher.exe”.
I too am having this problem. when double clicking the UnrealEngineLauncher.exe i get 2-3 seconds of “loading” and then the process ends. I can see the process start in my task manager and then just quit itself after 3 or so seconds. any ideas?
We just recently had an update to the Launcher which was intended to resolve one issue with the Launcher becoming unresponsive. I see that your Launcher is still on the version before the fix (it hasn’t been able to auto-update since you are not able to open it)
Please uninstall the Unreal Engine, then return to UnrealEngine, log into your account, and re-download. This will give you the latest version of the Launcher to re-install.
Hopefully this helps, but if not, please provide new logs for the new version, and we will investigate the issue.
Hi thanks for the response. I unistalled the Launcher I had and redownloaded the one on the site “latest dowload for PC” and installed directly after download. however still no joy.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still experiencing this issue. More information on your system may assist in troubleshooting this. Would you be able to post your DxDiag here so that we can take a look?
To do this, open your Windows start menu and type “Dxdiag” (without quotes). Open the DxDiag.exe and, once it’s finished generating your system information, click “Save All Information” and post the saved text file.

Your DxDiag shows you have an Aspire E1-531, which uses an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics chipset. We are already investigating a crash that is affecting users that have that particular chipset and is preventing the Launch of the editor. We hope to have a solution available for this issue soon.
According to your DXDiag, your PC is using a Nvidia FX4500 which is below our recommended specs and doesn’t support DirectX 11, which is the most likely cause of your crashes, unfortunately.
