I am an ordinary gamer who is unable to get support from Epic due to not being a developer. Their engine crashes every time I try to run Jedi Survivor and Sifu, both purchased on the Epic Games Store. I have taken multiple steps provided in the FAQ for troubleshooting, but none have worked. Here are some example screenshots of what I’ve encountered:
The message I received:
LoginId:bfadd279f4ada7124c0302f60fb4d5b7
Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION writing address 0x000000000000266d
Please advise. Any possible support would be appreciated.
Hi there IDDERS007, and welcome to the forums!
I understand you are having crashing issues with Jedi Survivor and Sifu.
First, I would recommend that you check out this article if you haven’t already. This seems to be the same issue you are experiencing.
If you still have problems after trying the steps in this article, I would recommend opening a case with our support team for further guidance. You can set up a case using this link.
I hope this helps!
Hello CallofAeons,
Unfortunately, the ‘repair’ functionality did not solve the issue.
I was told by Epic Player Support to contact Unreal support because there was nothing further they could do:
"If the error continues, I will need to redirect you to a support team who will likely be able to help more efficiently than I can, as we at Epic Games Player Support only support Epic’s own games or technical issues with the store.
In that case, I kindly ask you to reach out to the Unreal Engine support through here:
Thank you for your patience, and I wish you good luck! If you need help with any other question or doubt, don’t hesitate to let us know!"
