I’ve been using Unreal engine 4.22 since it’s release, no problems. Compiling is fast, building works fine.
However, one day it just stopped working. Every time I began trying to build, Unreal engine froze the entire engine.
Building full, texture streaming or lighting only freezes unreal, requiring shut down through task manager. It stops at Building Texture Streaming (40%) or Exporting lighting data: 33% Done.
No logs are created most of the time, but when they are, they say that Swarm Agent could not be reached.
This is a reoccurring problem on my computer for a week now, and these are all the fixes I’ve applied:
-Disabling Windows antivirus completely.
-Disabling Windows firewall
-Verifying Unreal version
-Uninstalling and Reinstalling Unreal
-Restarting the PC and downloading updates
-Switching and verifying between versions 4.22, 4.24, 4.25 and 4.26
-Creating new blank projects to build
