Unreal Engine Editor crashes upon starting

Hello, first of all apologies if this was posted in the wrong board.

I recently download Epic Games launcher, downloaded and installed Unreal Engine 4.16.3, but I’m facing an issue. Everytime I open a project, any project, blank, or any based on starter template, once the loading reaches 100%, the editor opens, and after a while it just crashes, with a crash menu poping up. I tried verifying unreal engine, didn’t help, I basically have no idea what’s wrong, totally new to this.

Have you checked the log file? (Located at: “<Project folder>\Saved\Logs”)

You could be running into the D3D hang issue, This thread may help you.

It seams that the Editor crash is due to trying to create the frame buffer for the game viewport.

Have you tried using the latest GPU drivers, Or a older one incase of a regression?

You may need to make a AnswerHub post about this if it keeps crashing like this.

I have an i5 laptop and I have intel graphics (ew), yes they are latest since there aren’t quite any updates in centuries, and this crash is ever since I installed unreal engine, from the very start.

Do you have another computer you could use?

I think the only other viable option would be to do a bug report on AnswerHub.
