Unreal Engine Crashing on Importing 4 Planes as LODS

I’m making a game with a few other colleagues and in order to tackle our open-world map, i create flat planes for the model when its out of view. What is happening, is when i import it manually in UE4 as a LOD it goes to load but then crashes and gives me this:

MachineId:3956FFC34F5B50D1EAFA4DA8E1A7DB82
EpicAccountId:90bac504f342400e889bce15bbff85ef

We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please send this crash report to help improve our software.

I also get a error stating that when i import my level of detail fbx’s that it couldn’t import the fbx but works fine when i import them and manually do it in unreal engine , apart from this plane that causes it to crash

I’v done more fiddling around and have found out that if you import more then 4 LODs including LOD0 Main Mesh it crashes

Hi Tea-Rexx,

The maximum number of LODs that are supported is 4. This would account for your Base Mesh (LOD0, and three additional LODs). Anything over that will crash the engine right now. There is a ticket in to throw a warning when trying to use more than 3 lower LODs to make this more prevalent.

Thank you for reporting!
