Unreal Engine crashes on load

Hey guys

Wondering if you could offer me some help. I just got a new PC and installed Unreal Engine 4.20.3, I transferred a project from my old PC over to my new one and I’ve encountered lots of errors with opening levels, light building, corrupt geometry and changing light map resolution channels.

So after troubleshooting I decided to create a fresh project and re-import all of my geometry (as migrating doesn’t work either). However I now find that I can’t open a blank project up without it crashing either? I have pasted the crash report below, it would be great if someone could have a look at this and help me understand what’s happening, thanks :slight_smile:

looks like a video card (driver) issue, did you install its latest drivers?

Yeah I have the latest drivers…attempting to reinstall them

So I uninstalled unreal and epic games launcher, reinstalled my graphics drivers and all was well until I tried to lightbuild and got this error?

Can anyone offer some further help on this issue as it’s quite urgent for me.

This error has come up for a number of UE4 based games.
I recently had to collect a bunch of fixes/workarounds for it in relation to our own game, which I’ll link to below.

Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost.
