Hi ,
Does this crash occur on any project or just one? For instance, do you crash on a clean project with no additional content?
I don’t really get far enough to create a project. Both launching without a project and trying to launch a sample project crashes on start.
Hi ,
When specifically did this series of crashes start occurring? Were you able to access the editor pre 4.1.1 or have you had this crash since starting with the editor?
I actually only bought the license for UE4 yesterday. I installed 4.2.1 first which crashed, then I installed 4.1.1 which also didn’t launch.
Hi ,
Simple question, but is your video card driver updated to the latest?
I believe so. I’ve tried both Catalyst 14.4 and 14.6 Beta drivers with the same results.
not sure what I should be expecting? I ran Verify and it went to 100% and there wasn’t any message or anything after.
Hi ,
When the editor crashes, does it give you a callstack? If so could you please post that here? Thank you!
Hi ,
We have not heard from you in quite some time. I am marking this as answered for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing this crash please respond with the requested information. Thank you!
I am also having the same issue with UE4 it won’t start my project or crashes immediately on start.
Hi Reckzilla,
Can you post your dxdiag, logs, and callstack here so we can have a look? Thank you!
Sorry, I haven’t been around for a while. I’ve updated to 4.3.1 and still getting the same problem.

Hi ,
Can you post your logs and dxdiag so we can have a look? Thank you!
Have you made sure that your firewall is not blocking the editor? You will want to make sure that both the editor and swarm agent are set to exceptions.
I’m pretty sure they were not blocked. Instead of trying to keep figuring this out I moved to another identical machine with a fresh install and it seems to be working fine.
Hi ,
I am happy to hear that you have been able to get this working. I will mark this question as answered for tracking purposes. If you begin experiencing these crashes on your other system, please comment here and we can try to see what is going on. Thank you!
