Unreal Engine/Blender Workstation Build List (Ryzen 9 9900X / RTX 4090) - Feedback and Compatibility Advice

Hello everyone,

Below is my proposed list for a high-end workstation designed specifically for demanding workloads in Unreal Engine 5 (Cinematic Animation, Complex VFX/Simulations) and Blender (High-Poly Modeling, Cycles/Path Tracer Rendering). My goal is to achieve the smoothest experience in the viewport and during rendering without bottlenecks in large-scale projects.

I plan to use a NVIDIA RTX 4090 in my system due to its high VRAM capacity.

My Proposed List:

Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 9 9900X

Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (Used)

Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B850-PLUS Wi-Fi AMD AM5 DDR5 ATX

Memory (RAM): XPG Lancer Black DDR5-6000Mhz CL30 64GB (2x32GB) Dual Kit

Main SSD (OS/Programs): Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2

Project SSD (Projects): Kioxia Exceria PRO 2 TB PCI-Express 4.0 M.2 SSD

Power Supply (PSU): NZXT C1200 1200W 80 PLUS GOLD FULL MODULAR ATX 3.1

Liquid Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360

Case: Lian Li Lancool 207RX ARGB Fanlı Siyah ATX

My Main Questions and Concerns:

CPU/Motherboard Compatibility: Will I face any issues getting full performance from the 9900X CPU with the B850 motherboard? Or would switching to an X870E chipset board be a more appropriate choice?

SSD Speed: Do you think the ultra-high read/write speeds (14700MB/s) of the Samsung 9100 Pro will make a noticeable difference in Unreal Engine loading times, shader compilation, and file transfers?

RAM Speed/Latency: Is the CL30 6000MHz I’ve chosen the “sweet spot” for the Ryzen 9000 series? Is it worth trying a higher frequency?

PSU and Cooling Adequacy: Are the 1200W PSU and 360mm AIO liquid cooler definitely sufficient to keep these high-end components stable under prolonged full load?

I would appreciate any help from experienced members regarding potential bottlenecks, incompatibilities, or better component suggestions in this list.

Thank you in advance!
