Unreal Engine 5 - Packaging error on Windows 10

This solved it, thanks!

Thank you it worked

For those who still has this like I had once You have to reinstall the window and then install the .Net core 3.1 , Windows 10 SDK from microsoft website.
I’ve tried doing windows the way so that I don’t lose my data and so only window reinstalls but this didn’t resolved the error SO Then I had to reinstall window completey new and I put my project in USB and Then I reinstalled all the epic games and unreal engine .
This was the only option for me.

Thank you for sharing, this is what helped me to fix the issue.

That fixed my issue. Thanks a lot!

Worked like a charm! Thank you!!

Remember to close UE5 and Visual Studio before install it and “Generate Project Files” could be helpful

Worked nicely for me too, thanks.

I’ve been using UE5.3.2 since Nov’23, just today after updating Windows11, this issue just occurred when try to package.
*Additionally, I had to verify the Engine so that the issue’s gone.

Your post saved my day, thanks!

Today, I suddenly I had “missing SDK” issues on Unreal Engine 5.3.2, when trying to package my game for Windows and Android.
In my case, I suspect the issue was caused by a recent Windows 10 update.

Following other forum posts and YouTube videos about this type of issue, I had installed Windows SDK, .NET Runtime, etc.
I’m not sure if those installations helped solve the issue, but they didn’t work at first, even after restarting my computer.

Only after I ran “Verify” on my installed engine, then the missing SDK issues were fixed!
Now, I’m able to package my game again

April 2024; this solution also worked for me when the above solutions did not.

Thank you! Choosing Verify solved the problem for me.

On the same computer, version 5.0 is fine, but version 5.32 has SDK issues. Maybe my problem is the same as you described, but I have uninstalled 5.3 version and can’t verify it. I will see if this problem still exists after installing 5.4 version
