Unreal Engine 5 Packaged Project Not Opening. Steam Shared Plugin failed to load

Hi everyone,

I packaged my project in shipping mode and attempted to run it but the project doesn’t open without any warning. These are the logs below, I am pretty sure it has something to do with the steam shared plugin but I haven’t been able to find a working fix online. Any help is appreciated.

did you get any warning/error when packaging/cooking the project ?

I suggest disable that plugin to test it.

Hi,

I packaged the project without any of the steam plugins and it opens fine. Once I re-enabled them, same issue started occurring, again with the SteamShared plugin.

When packaging the project I didn’t receive any errors and only got these warnings which I think are unrelated.

Update:

I saw somewhere that the project may need c++ source files so I added a c++ file but now when I try to open the project it fails to build. Trying to build the solution manually gives me this error:

Nevermind, figured out the solution was just converting the project into a c++ project. Works good now.
