Unreal Engine 5 Loading Times

I have one computer at my dads house and one at my moms house at my dads house i have an rtx 2080 super and an i9-9900k and 16gb of ram and to be a fair its about 4 years old but for unreal engine to open it takes about 4-5 minutes and at my moms house on a newer pc about a year to a year and a half old and it launches in about 45 seconds and it has slightly worse specs im not sure if its because i way less installed on my second second computer so it launches up faster or what but does anybody have any tips im thinking about doing a full system wipe soon to maybe see if that fixes it but if anybody has any tips to make unreal launch faster or just everything unreal engine 5 faster because it takes very long to load materials and blueprints and stuff but please reply to this post with some tips to hopefully make unreal engine 5 faster

Hey there @Mwe583! If they have somewhat similar specs, it’s possible Unreal is installed on an HDD on one desktop and an SSD on the other, as the bottleneck (when not first launching UE and preparing the shaders) could be read speed. If both systems have an SSD I’d recommend moving your UE installs there if possible as it will speed up base launch extremely. Launching specific projects or creating them can also affect launch speed.
