Hello guys, i need your help ASAP,
So from past few weeks suddenly unreal engine 5 lags a lot, i have the latest version!(5.2.1), I have Intel i7 9th GEN (CPU), 16 GB RAM , 16 GB GPU(RADEON RX590), this has never happened before, i had turned off the virtual Shadow Map still, is the the new version issue or what?, i can’t work on a game if this persist!.
note: i used to get 200 fps! also graphic drivers are up to date!

Is this only happening with 1 specific project and if so do you have the issue with it in older versions of Unreal Engine? Also ensure if you have any plugins or anything of that sort that are used in the project that those plugins are up to date and compatible with the new Unreal Engine version that you’re using. I’d also try monitoring your hardware via Task manager or any common third party app while you’re testing and see which hardware are getting maxed out and tanking your FPS like that.
No it happens with all my previous projects and new projects, no plugins, it was blank fresh project!
i’m currently verifying the version 5.2.1 and if it still persist i will revert to later version like , 5.1.1, please let me know if there are any other ideas
Oh wow! Yea, that’s a really sharp FPS drop. The 5.2.1 version did add some features that increased performance requirements with things such as lumen. But, it shouldn’t cause a drop that significant, I wouldn’t think. Have you tried verifying files for Unreal Engine or uninstalling it completely and re-installing?
Hey, Iknow i tried verifying at the files + i Uninstalled and Tried Re-installing the UE 5.2.1 and unfortunately i’m still facing the SAME ISSUE, i’m currently Uninstalling it rn and will try install 5.1.1, i don’t know WTF happened but i’m sad
Hey it’s fixed, i uninstalled the GPU Drivers Using DDU and it worked, AMD is the worst in terms of Hardware and Software callibration, it was my biggest mistake choosing Radeon Graphic card!
