Unreal Engine 5 Installation Error: Xcode Requirement Bypass for 3D Asset Preparation

Dear Unreal Engine Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I recently installed Unreal Engine 5 on my macOS system with the goal of using it solely to prepare and export 3D assets for online markets. However, upon launching the engine, I encountered an error message regarding the need for Xcode installation.

The proposed solutions I found on forums and YouTube suggest installing Xcode to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, I have limited storage space and cannot install Xcode on my system. Additionally, as I am not planning to develop or compile any iOS or macOS apps, I believe I don’t need Xcode for my specific use case, which is limited to working with 3D assets within the engine.

Could you please provide guidance on how to bypass this Xcode installation requirement, or suggest any alternative solutions? I would greatly appreciate any assistance or instructions that would allow me to use Unreal Engine 5 without the need to install Xcode.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
