Ok so if something is free for a month and I download it and the month advances, Can I still legally use the item in a game if I give credit?
Yes. Technically, I don’t think you have to even give credit.

The Unreal marketplace is whats called a vending machine license. If you can download the asset into your vault you are covered under Epic’s fair use license free or not.
This includes sample files and projects because it’s in your vault so it’s covered.
