which version did you install, is it ue5-main branch to acces the 5.7 version

For some unknown reason only known to himself whenever there is a release of new Unreal software JSFILMZ has consitently increased the version number of the released software. I’m not quite sure why he does it but it does make his videos standout. I purchased one of his tutorials on one of the sites where he sells them and he had done it on this as well. I did orginally think it was an innocent mistake but its happened 3 times over the various releases now.

Hey Trevor. J compiled 5.7 from Github. It’s not a mistake. He is one of the most known guys to test unreleased UE versions that can be installed only by compiling sources uploaded on Github. SO, if @jsfilmz is making a 5.7 video, i’m 100% sure it’s 5.7

I was aware he released the video on the same day as the Unreal team and I do know he hasa few videos out there and I am aware of the source code access to newer versions of the engine. But he is consistently one upping the dev team on their annoucment day with an “even newer version” This has happened at least 3 times.
He is clearly good, I really did like his first videos until IU realised they were next to pointless and I paid for something that should have been free but I didnt know what I was doing/asking for.
