Hi Team,
Seems Unreal Engine 5.7 has broken the Landscape Paint Layers. Has anyone figured out the fix to this? I have been using Brushify Landscape Material since it first came out. In the latest Hot Fixes released for both UE 5.6 and UE 5.7, the Landscape layer paint layers are totally messed up: they don’t paint with proper fall-offs, the landscape randomly gets the default grid material, and there are just a bunch of issues. Have been looking through the forum for over a week, and a few people have tried to fix this issue by changing the layer blend node from Weight Blend to Alpha Blend, but it hasn’t worked for me. I wonder if others are facing this issue as well,l and what you did to fix this or if you fixed this in your landscape material. Can we have a look at how you did that?
Epic Dev Team, please don’t just change things for the sake of it, thinking the UI will look cleaner, and don’t push it out without doing extensive QA Testing. The documentation is incomplete, and this is a critical issue for 99.9999% of projects. This needs an urgent Fix.
