Instead i got this ‘There are currently no target layers assigned to this landscape. Use the buttons above to add new ones or populate them from the material(s) currently assigned to the landscape’ message.
I did something similar in a past version of UE5 and it worked just fine.
Am I doing something wrong?
same here. i tried with the preview a few weeks ago and it was broken, i shrugged. i tried again yesterday with the new version and its still broken. i can find no info anywhere about the layers, they’re just supposed to appear when you set the material up. i have no idea if this is a slight change in workflow or a totally broken bug.
Likewise I tried and don’t see the paint layers. I don’t know if it’s a bug, or if they’ve rearranged things in this version and I don’t know where to look.
Hey guys, I just ran into this issue and found the fix real quick. There are a few icons right above that prompt just hover over them. One says “create layers from assigned materials.” the one circle with small curved arrow
I can confirm that it is in fact a solution. It worked perfectly. I have never thought that there was an additionl button hidden on a bar. Streaching the toolbar to the right revealed the button. Thank you for pointing this out.
