Unreal Engine 5.2 is Crashing constantly

I would like to find out if it’s normal or usual that the engine is crashing like every 2-5 minutes, I am ready to provide all details.

I am using Windows 10, UE 5.2, 32 Gb ram, RTX 3080 Ti, I have formated the computer,
installed fresh windows, the only two programs installed are Chrome browser and Unreal Engine 5.2 I have new graphic drivers, the assert that I am using came from Unreal store,
no bluprints, no C++ code, just Mesh imported into scene and Nanite

Can someone sugggest steps to get to find out why or it’s normal that it crashes every 3-5 minutes and this is how everyone is working with this engine ?

Can you send the log to see what is happening? but anyway try this to fix

Install some temp and fan monitors. Unreal when you let it go will speed up FPS to max, it may overheat graphics card. And fans may be set to silent profile. So either something like riva tuner (I think discontinued), or some hardware monitor, Or limit FPS to 60. It may be also PSU not giving enough juice when Unreal makes your gpu cry.

Try turning off auto-save. I have heard this can cause stability issues for some people.

Try change to Directx 11

Follow this steps

    • In the Project Settings window, go to the “Platforms” section and click on “Windows” in the left sidebar.
    • Under the Windows section, locate the “Default RHI” (Rendering Hardware Interface) dropdown menu.
    • Click on the dropdown menu and select “DX11” as the desired rendering API.
    • Then restart the project

if this won’t work, you need to decrease the resolutions or the size of texture that you are using
