Hi all! My name is Kristen Jelly and I made a photorealistic scene using free assets from Megascans.
You can watch the video on YouTube. I wanted to create as photorealistic a scene as possible. I used Lumen and Nanite and my own LUT for color depth
Hey there @KristenJelly ! Welcome to posting here on the forums! We’re so happy to see you sharing your creations!
I must say your first post with us is absolutely breath taking. It’s such a serene scene that you have laid out and the ambience fits in so nicely. How long did it take for you to work with Megascans in order to create such a detailed scene like this?
Thank you so much! It took almost 5 days to create the scene and 2 days for experimenting with the camera and rendering.
I can’t always control the birds in the right frame, haha
Greetings, @KristenJelly; I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Welcome to the UE community, and thank you for sharing your excellent cinematic render/screenshots of a photorealistic river with us! It is stunning, and to think you developed this scene in its entirety in only a week is extremely impressive.
Thank you @Zezkaii for such a warm welcome at the forum! I hope to someday get a job and become a 3d environment artist. I have a lot of ideas for developing scenes right now
A magnificent scene @KristenJelly, so well detailed that it accurately conveys the atmosphere of wildly growing vegetation combined with wooden houses.
The pleasure is all mine! I’m sure you’ll reach your goal with enough consistency and drive! I hope to see some of your ideas pop up in the showcase soon.
Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far!
Just wanted to pop in and say this environment is utterly stunning. The water reflections, warm evening light coming through the tree branches, and colorful lily pads have resulted in such a hyper-realistic beautiful world. Specifically, that sunset is just breathtaking and brought so much life to the scene. Do you happen to have an ArtStation with any of your other work?
