I agree that it should be an optional feature, however I have a strong feeling it’s here to stay for now. If you want to make that plugin footprint smaller you can always use NTFS compression (specifically with the LZX switch using the command: compact /c /i /a /s /f /exe:lzx
) and half its size.
You can also delete the site-packages for the platforms you aren’t running the editor on and get Python Foundation Packages down to 2.96GB on Windows.
