I have a 1080 Graphics card and Precision 5820 machine with 32 GB ram. However UE5 GUI is extremely slow. For example when I create a new project, changing the drop down from Desktop to Mobile takes almost 30-40 seconds.
Additionally in blueprint window it takes 10-15 seconds to draw a line if I use the execution pins or even try to click on buttons like moving between top views, side views in viewport. It is very irritating to wait for 10-15 seconds every time I drag from execution pins for line to draw and takes another 5-10 seconds to show the context menu.
Unreal Engine 4.27 works just fine without any issues. I have tried to change settings in Nvidia hardware and even tried to move Unreal Engine to the SSD drive. It pretty much behaves the same way.
On a laptop which has a much more inferior card than GTX 1080, same things work just fine.
I have even updated the latest drivers for the motherboard, even updates the bios and also updated the nvidia drivers. I have also run all kinds of hardware test to check if there is any issue with hardware.
It is not like Unreal Engine 5 itself is slow. It runs fine when I click on Play, but the GUI is slow as hell. For example - clicking Edit->Plugins takes 5-8 seconds.
Would any one know what could cause this.
