Can someone please tell me where i can find the pin comment?
I loathe zooming out and see this massive comment bubbles everywhere.
It used to be on the comment itself but i see it was removed.
Looking at all 57 related entries in the release notes proved fruitless.
Edit: What i am doing at the moment is leaving a UE 4.7 project open with a single BP. After i created my comments in 4.8 project i copy and paste it into the 4.7 window, tick the pin and then copy it back.

This still exists, if you LMB a node a small bubble with an ellipse will appear above the node. LMB this and the node comment with pin will appear above the node in its place.

You can create such box by selecting nodes you want to be inside and pressing “C” on a keyboard

Thank you i am aware of that function. What i am asking is where we can find the pin icon on the comment bubble of the comment box. This was available previously and as showed its still available for Node comments but i use it a lot in my projects.
This is very useful when working with large blueprints. Having comment boxes available but to pin their bubbles. Because i don’t want to see it for everything but i still want the functionality of the actual comment box to organize sections.
I’d like to ask if you can give a ballpark date for the release of the first hotfix

I am forced to upgrade and had to delete 4.8.0. It was a nightmare retuning my project for 4.8.0 from 4.7. Now you take 4.8.0 away and only provide 4.8.1.
I do not want to touch that, but I want 4.8.0. I mean I am really serious here: I do not want to touch 4.8.1 after that retuning stunt!!!

4.8.1 has only fixed some bugs, everything that worked in 4.8 will also work in 4.8.1 as far as I know, you don’t have to fix anything if you already converted your project to 4.8
4.8.1 is really nice, I can finally package my game without making it crash on startup! Yay!
Unfortunately trees don’t really look nice in a package game because Hierachical Instanced Static Mesh Components are still a “bit” buggy, I guess I have to call this a feature, like “my game is awesome, the trees can make themselve invisible for one frame, special ability!”

The incremental hotfix updates only provide “small and safe” fixes to existing code. We don’t introduce anything new in the Hotfixes or touch the header files in code. Big changes are only done between release versions, like 4.7 and 4.8. We are unable to make 4.8.0 available on the Launcher again (and we encourage 4.8 users to update to 4.8.1 for the important fixes). You don’t have to update to 4.8.1 if you don’t want to, but if you want even more control over the version of the engine that you use, I recommend using source code and pulling the version you want from GitHub.

could you please explain why a “hotfix” “small&safe” updates end up being over 2gb when i read the fix log its a code fixing so why does it require what is basically a full install, is there no way just to update the code base.
basically it takes me quite a while to dl the “hotfix” then it takes ages for it to install/verify which then causes havok when i tried and do otherthing on the net, maybe its only me idk !
